RIP David Sanborn. Chicago Song is the music being played during the fashion spree bit.
A girl who lived just a few doors away from me won a new kitchen, and all the appliances, couldn't believe what I was seeing when I saw her on the show.
God, the 80s were a tragic time to be British.
Was it worth it?
Billy is magnificent... such a talent.
I REALLY want to hear "My mother drowned in the grotto at Lourdes"🥰😂😂😂
😮
Comic genius
I wish they’d bring it back!
Only in the 80s could a flasher mac be the grand prize. We even get a little demo.
28:50 my mouth is hurting from laughing so much at the skit! I had to comment.
Kenny rest his soul what a legend ❤
Watching this 12/5/24 Laughing so hard, I have tears in my eyes. Got up walked in the living room, and my Mrs is sat watching Billy on TV laughing her head off. That can't just be a coincidence, surely it's a sign that this man was meant to make humanity happy. Kenny was no less funny . Two utterly wonderful beings X
Billy Connolly what a guy ❤
What c**t said och aye the noo… ? 😂😂
2024 and we are dying over their enthusiasm for THAT caravan lol
Absolute gold
no one talking about our man being a foot over the oche?
this IS probably the worst darts player ever
Inflation since these times are huge! Pity the winnings on game shows remain around the same, give or take a few hundred.
Treble 20 on his first dart. He probably could have gone pro, but was more interested in being a bullseye contestant.
How old is this clip? Is it around the time Thatcher said we don't want to be swamped?
Shit Kays catalogue clobber 😂
What a legend. He’d be sacked and most probably jailed now. Also, see how these girls, sorry women, took absolutely zero offence to it. Pure harmless fun.
Here for the comments. Not disappointed!
With all that crap straight to cash converters lok😂
That crockpot's a sexy prize. Who needs the car or the speedboat when you can walk around with that under your arm impressing the chicks?
She was hoping the star prize would be a Stuka.
They both got new donkey jackets.
*being the UK version of the show, im surprised the first guy didn't say "soccer" for an outdoor ball game sport. i think that would of been close to 61 points which would of made bobs "turkey" answer of 21 points enough to give them the winning 200 pts. *also, the answers were not bad, i always bring a turkey sandwich to the beach. i buy it first because the cold cuts line is always long. and a turkey is stuffed but it was not the #1 answer because thats our american thanksgiving thing and this was a UK ep. *and i saw an interview with the family and they said bob had somehow heard "chicken" was an answer to a question so had turkey on his mind.
According to his diaries Williams was offered £2,000 inc. flights & accomodation for this appearance. In 1981 £2,000 was worth about £9,600. He flew BA first class, 'superbly luxurious'. The plane landed in Singapore then onto Brunei, he watched 'The Mirror Crack'd' on the plane. Went with Parky to the Yellow Room Restaurant in Sydney. Walking around Sydney the following morning he was 'accosted by prostitutes' & 'saw a drunken old loon peeing into a rubbish bin'. Following day got taxi to studio where he met fellow guests Marti Caine & Collen McCullough. Day after Parkinson he sailed round Sydney harbour & islands on Sir James Hardy's yacht 'sipping champagne & eating a delightful cold lunch...I got v.high!' 23rd June, went to lunch at a Sydney restaurant owned by an English woman who said 'Your Parkinson show was fine for the English there but the Australians didn't get a lot of it'.
I had a 1984 Austin Metro City..
1986 fun years brilliant everyone listened to Tony 😂😂
Never realized Billy sang so well let play the auto harp.
😊
Very loquacious😮 Yet I couldn't listen to himffor very long as he goes on and on, hardly pausing for otthers to comment or interject! I saw a doco about him with other people talking about him and one person mentioned he hated it if someone would 'steal' the scene or situationfrom him. He could be arrogant and pompous and very prickly yet he was extremely guilty of being gay which surprised me! I just find that I'm uncomfortable about his prescence.😮😢
Billy was a sick man, sick ion his head
Hi
I think all of us who were kids in 1980s remember the hard story line of zammo Its engrained in our minds that story line we saw on grange hill. For a kids show zammo story in grange hill was very to the point, and i do not doubt all the kids who saw it as those times remember it.
It still beats losing. Even tho they were a crappy prize
Just brilliant. A genius. He was like a gourmet banquet eaten at high speed.
He will see you straight when he gets glasses
them bullys are worth a fortune now.
Wow, a midi hi-fi with compact disc.
Jesus
Put the apron on the woman Jim 😂😂😂
It was a base model Metro but a new car was a big thing back then , no matter what it was
Prizes are terrible 😂😂
